Pamela Thompson

Pamela has had four consulting and coaching businesses since the early 1990s and has lived and worked on five continents. In March 2020 she was named Ambassador for Canada of Female Wave of Change. In December 2020 she founded the national non-profit Female Wave of Change Canada, and is committed to supporting women leaders and changemakers and growing the movement in Canada.

Laureen Nowlan-Card
Vice-Chair
Laureen Nowlan-Card has had a successful career as a lawyer and has repurposed her skills to support professional women in business and leadership. She is the creator of Heart of the Heroine, a Certified Women’s Empowerment Coach (since 2014), an Emotional Liberation Facilitator (since 2017), Speaker Trainer (since 2016), Podcast Host, Yogini and devoted Mom.
Laureen is on a mission to change the world one woman at a time, by supporting women to share their ideas in both their personal and professional lives. Laureen guides women to release their self-doubt and limiting beliefs, and to work with their emotions so they can attain increased joy and peace and live their best lives. Laureen also leads women’s public speaking training, where she creates a safe and inspiring container for women to unleash the brilliance of their voices and ideas. Laureen’s podcast, Women Leading Change, is dedicated to amplifying the voices of women who are leading positive change in the World. Laureen is also the founder of The Oasis, a Community for Women in Business and Leadership which she describes as “a soft place to land, where everybody understands you”.

Personal growth and supporting/mentoring women of all ages and stages is a passion of Michelle’s. She was co-chair of the Kelowna LeanIn chapter, enjoys mentoring young men and women and has been Treasurer of Female Wave of Change Canada since inception.

Ame-Lia Tamburrini
Secretary
Ame-Lia Tamburrini is the host of the Circle of Change podcast and CEO and founder of Hum Consulting – an organization creating brave spaces for conversations that move humanity forward.
As a master facilitator she combines ancient wisdom with over 20 years of experience engaging with communities across the globe to deepen understanding, build relationships, and foster trust. With these skills, she supports local governments, Indigenous governments, and social-impact organizations involved in resource development, housing, reconciliation and other areas where empathetic communication is needed. Her community kindness circles have been called “the perfect antidote to disconnection in the post COVID-era.” An emerging thought-leader, she has been featured in Douglas Magazine and has spoken on international stages about communication and connection. Her calm, direct, compassionate approach inspires all in her presence to be the change.

Rita Fromholt
Director of Marketing and Communications
Rita Fromholt has a diverse background in communications, marketing, outreach, program management and strategic planning across multiple sectors including social-enterprise, non-profit, academic, and political. She has played lead roles on a wide variety of programs, campaigns and other initiatives focused primarily on promoting positive environmental and social change in communities.
Rita’s strengths focus on her ability to strategically transform visionary ideas into high impact results through effective planning and communications. She was a founding employee at World Tree, an innovative social enterprise offering impact investors a unique opportunity to invest in fast-growing, renewable eco-timber, led the sustainability efforts at a leading university, and played a key role in Canada’s largest protected area victory.
